01 What is MediaBuddy and what can it do for me?
MediaBuddy is an AI-powered social media management platform. It lets you generate captions using artificial intelligence, schedule posts in advance, publish directly to Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts, and manage all your content from a single, clean dashboard — saving you hours every week.
02 How do I connect my Facebook or Instagram account?
After logging in, go to Linked Accounts in your dashboard sidebar. Click "Connect Facebook" and follow the secure OAuth login flow. You'll be asked to grant MediaBuddy permission to manage your Pages and Instagram Business accounts. Once connected, your accounts will appear immediately and you can start posting right away.
03 Is my account data safe and secure?
Absolutely. We use the official Meta Graph API with industry-standard OAuth 2.0 authentication. MediaBuddy never stores your Facebook or Instagram password — we only hold a secure access token granted by Meta. You can revoke access at any time from your Facebook settings or from within the MediaBuddy Linked Accounts page.
04 How do AI credits work?
Every time you use the AI caption generator, 1 credit is deducted from your monthly allowance. Free plan users receive 15 credits per month, and Pro plan users receive 300 credits per month. Credits reset on your billing cycle date. You can view your remaining credits at any time in Settings → Plan & Billing.
05 What is the difference between the Free and Pro plans?
The Free plan gives you 15 AI credits, up to 10 scheduled posts, and access to all core features including Facebook & Instagram publishing and live post preview. The Pro plan ($5/month) upgrades you to 300 AI credits, unlimited scheduled posts, bulk scheduling (up to 150 posts at once), a 7-day AI content plan, and priority AI generation. Both plans include secure OAuth account connections with no long-term commitment.
06 Can I schedule posts in advance?
Yes. When creating a post, select "Schedule" instead of publishing immediately. Pick your desired date and time, and MediaBuddy will automatically publish the post to your connected account(s) at that exact moment — even if you're offline. You can view and manage all scheduled posts from the Schedule page in the sidebar.
07 How do I write a good AI prompt for caption generation?
For best results, be specific about your topic, tone, and goal. For example: "Write a professional LinkedIn caption for a productivity app launch, highlighting a 30% time-saving benefit, with a call-to-action to try for free." The more context you provide — such as your industry, target audience, and intended emotion — the better the AI output will be. You can also use the business profile in Settings to auto-inject your company context into every prompt.
08 Can I cancel my Pro subscription at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time with no penalties by going to Settings → Plan & Billing → Cancel Subscription. After cancellation, you'll retain Pro benefits until the end of your current billing period, then automatically revert to the Free plan. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees.

Drafts

  • When creating a post, click "Save as Draft" instead of publishing.
  • Find all drafts under Posts → Drafts in your dashboard sidebar.
  • Click any draft to open the editor, make changes, and save or publish.
  • Use drafts to hold content ideas that need approval before going live.

  • In the post editor, the live preview panel updates in real time as you type.
  • Uploaded images are displayed exactly as they'll appear on the platform.
  • Check caption length — Instagram allows up to 2,200 characters.

Settings
Managing Your Profile & Plan

Keep your account up to date, upgrade your plan, and manage connected accounts — all from Settings.

  • Go to Settings → Profile to update your name, email, or password.
  • Set your business name, industry, and website for richer AI context.
  • Under Plan & Billing, view remaining credits and upgrade to Pro.
  • In Linked Accounts, disconnect any social account at any time.
