User Data Deletion Instructions
Your Right to Data Erasure
At MediaBuddy, we respect your data privacy and full control over your social media accounts. In accordance with Meta Platform Policy, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and other global privacy laws, you have the right to request the deletion of any data associated with your Facebook, Instagram, or MediaBuddy account at any time.
Below are the simple options available to delete your data or revoke app permissions.
Method 1: Revoke Access & Delete Data via Facebook
You can remove MediaBuddy and revoke all permissions directly through your Facebook account settings. When you remove MediaBuddy, Facebook will automatically notify our servers to delete your stored tokens and page connections:
Open Facebook Settings
Log into Facebook, click your profile picture in the top right, and select Settings & Privacy > Settings.
Go to Apps and Websites
In the left navigation menu, scroll down to the Permissions section and click on Apps and Websites.
Find MediaBuddy
Locate MediaBuddy in your active apps list and click the Remove button.
Confirm Deletion
Confirm the removal. Facebook will trigger our automated data deletion callback to instantly purge your stored credentials.
Method 2: Manage or Delete from MediaBuddy Dashboard
If you have access to your MediaBuddy account, you can manage or delete your data directly with one click:
- Disconnect Social Accounts: Go to Connected Accounts and click "Disconnect" next to any Facebook or Instagram account. This immediately invalidates and purges all access tokens.
- Delete All Scheduled Posts: Navigate to Settings > Danger Zone and select "Delete All Scheduled Posts".
- Permanently Delete MediaBuddy Account: Under Settings > Danger Zone, click "Delete Account". This permanently deletes your user profile, credentials, history, and all stored assets.
Method 3: Submit a Manual Data Erasure Request
If you no longer have access to your account or prefer manual verification, our support team can manually purge all your records:

Subject: User Data Deletion Request
Include: Your registered email address and (if applicable) your Facebook Page or User ID.
We will verify your request and confirm complete deletion within 48 business hours.
